Children's nutrition is not about adding as many ingredients as possible. It is about choosing ingredients that are relevant to the product's nutritional purpose.
DHA is an important structural fatty acid found in high concentrations in the brain and the retina. Its role in normal brain function and normal vision is recognised in approved EU health claims, when the relevant conditions of use are met.
Lutein follows a different biological path. It is a carotenoid that concentrates selectively in the retina — particularly in the macula, where together with zeaxanthin it forms part of the macular pigment.
This formulation brings those nutrients together in one daily dose, with DHA as the principal Omega-3 fatty acid and lutein as a complementary carotenoid.

It is not only about what we put in. How we deliver it matters too.
Omega-3 is a fat — and before it can be absorbed, it first has to pass through digestion.
Our Omega-3 jelly uses the Concordix® gel-based emulsion technology, developed in Norway. Instead of simply enclosing fish oil as oil in a traditional soft capsule, the Omega-3 oil is emulsified before intake into small droplets incorporated in a gel matrix.
That changes the physical form in which Omega-3 meets the digestive system.
In a published human bioavailability study, the same triglyceride-based fish oil was compared in a gelled emulsion and in traditional soft capsules. Over 26 hours, the incremental plasma exposure of EPA + DHA was 43.3% higher with the gelled emulsion.
